Host names for Fastly cache nodes?

Looking at [h t t p s]://community.fastly.com/t/ways-to-test-your-caching-with-curl/480, “Run a request through a specific cache node”, it looks like the suggested host name for a cache node no longer works:

$ host cache-sjc3142-SJC.hosts.fastly.net
Host cache-sjc3142-SJC.hosts.fastly.net not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)

What do I use for a host name now?

  Use the name without the last dash and location code. ie cache-sjc3142 instead of cache-sjc3142-SJC.

  That will give you a complete hostname of cache-sjc3142.hosts.fastly.net.
